The Agoura Hills/ Calabasas/ Oak Park climate may be described as California Mediterranean, with warm, dry summers and cool, rainy winters. The area averages 329 days of sunshine, with the average high temperature in January reaching 66 degrees.  

Winters are mild with temperatures ranging between mid 40's and mid 50's. Overnight frost is common during the winter, but snow or daytime freezing temperatures are very rare. The coldest recorded temperature is 18ºF. Summers are delightful, with daytime highs averaging in the mid 80's and nights averaging in the upper 50's. Summer’s heat is moderated by late afternoon ocean breezes from the west. The highest recorded temperature is 116ºF. 

The area averages about 21 inches of rain a year. The maximum average precipitation occurs in February with 4.4 inches of rain. Strong, dry winds from the north-east known as the Santa Ana winds, come to southern California every year. Although they can occur at any time of the year, they usually arrive between mid-fall and winter. During these times, October temperatures over 100°F with relative humidity below 10% or even below measurement are possible, as well as gusts of 50 mph or more.
